We are delighted to announce that the Winner of the 2017 Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize is Benjamin Ogbebor, with his painting Self Portrait II, 2017.
The Winner was selected by a prestigious panel of judges, including Dr Xavier Bray, Director of the Wallace Collection; Richard Borchard, son of Ruth Borchard; Charlotte Mullins, author and critic; Marilyn Scott, Director of The Lightbox, Woking; Alastair Sooke, Art Critic at The Daily Telegraph and BBC broadcaster; and Shanti Panchal, 2015 Prize Winner. The judges commended Ogbebor's self portrait for its technical brilliance and powerful rendering of the artist's inner self.
The 2017 Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize Exhibition is at Piano Nobile Kings Place until 22 September 2017.
