Jackie Wullschlager's review of Shanti Panchal: Ragas of the Dawn in the FT Weekend
The Chief Visual Arts Critic of The Financial Times, Jackie Wullschlager, included the current Piano Nobile King's Place exhibition Shanti Panchal: Ragas of the Dawn in her 'Critic's Choice' weekend round-up of the visual arts. She describes Panchal's as 'an unusual, sonorous voice in contemporary painting'. She also writes about the colours in his works, commenting how the saturated watercolour pigments are 'reminiscent of the mud walls, terracotta tiles, and vast skies of [Panchal's] Mumbai childhood.'
