The first museum exhibition of Walter Sickert’s art in Paris has opened at the Petit Palais. Walter Sickert: Peindre et Transgresser has toured from Tate Britain in London. The exhibition was initiated and led by Delphine Lévy, director of the Paris Musées and the leading French scholar on Sickert’s work, who died prematurely in 2020. Her significant monograph, Walter Sickert: La provocation et l’énigma, was published posthumously in 2021. Piano Nobile is pleased to have worked closely with the Petits Palais and facilitated several loans for the exhibition.
The exhibition will be viewing until 29 January 2023.
Full visitor details can be found on the Petits Palais website here.
